News/Events at PYCP Now the children are back to school the Greenhouse feels very
empty. After an action packed 6 week Summer Programme the staff and
volunteers are working on the new Autumn programme which will commence
Monday 6th September. We hope to have some new P1 recruits joining our project so dont
forget to get Mums and Dads' along to pick up new Consent and
Registration forms for the new term beginning please remember you have to be 5 years old to be a member of PY.
A
note for your diaries, PYCP's Annual General meeting is on Monday 13th
September at 5.30 pm, there will be cheese and wine afterwards.
We hope you have time to join us.
Over the Summer we had over 700 children
and young people attending the clubs and outings with a finale of a
Family Trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park. There were 125 children,
mums and dads came along and enjoyed the (for once) "summery" scottish
weather in Stirling!
Over the summer we had:
- 55 different trips and activities
- 12 fun clubs which over 300 children and young people attended
- 15 joint activities with Youth Action Group (YAG) and Play Practitioners Forum (PPF)
- 32 young people went on our 2 week standing camp to Yair Forest near Galashiels
All the trips and outings were very popular: Butterfly Farm, Skate Park, Go Karting, 5 Sisters Zoo, Botanics Treasure Hunt, M&D's, Edinburgh Dungeon, BeachWalk, Golfing, Wallace Monument and so many more!
We
hope all the children and young people are looking forward to returning
to PY on week beginning 6th September and we hope everyone enjoying
being back at school.
